Rounding out our Tips & Tricks Series of webinar, Senior Product Specialist Ian Schaefer demonstrates how you can find success with OnPlan Scheduling, part of UDA's suite of construction management tools. If you missed our live session, you can find the recording here, as well as questions asked in the webinar by some of ConstructionSuite's 500,000 users.
In the video, you can see how implementing ConstructionSuite can take your team's project management to the next level. Throughout this webinar, participants submitted questions for our team to answer - here are a few great questions that came in:
Is there a way that we can change the schedule dates (delays) but only up until a certain point (assuming we built in a buffer)?
Cydney: Great question! There in the Task Information you will see a tab called "Constraints" which allows for you to set Earliest Start/End Dates and Latest Start/End Dates.
How do you show multiple project schedules on one screen?
Cydney: The best place to see multiple schedules concurrently would be on the ConstructionSuite Calendar view! In this view, you can display multiple project schedules alongside one another.
My company is using ConstructionOnline and I can't seem to find some of the features you're talking about. Does this video apply to ConstructionOnline as well?
Cydney: Jordan and Ian are currently highlighting scheduling tools in ConstructionSuite, our desktop platform. You will see some different tools available within ConstructionSuite, like some of the bulk editing features. Baselines and other features are available in ConstructionOnline as well!
How does this baseline delta show how to get back the schedule on track?
Cydney: The baseline provides you with an excellent reference to see where you have lost or gained time which allows for you to proactively take action along in the project to complete the project on time.
How do you block out a holiday or a weekend so that the schedule software automatically does not schedule on those days?
Cydney: Those options can be found in ConstructionSuite Scheduling under the Tools Tab. Select Options, choose the Workdays & Holidays tab, and there you can customize the workdays and holidays for the schedule at hand.
Can I export the schedule to other platforms?
Cydney: You certainly can! You can export as a PDF, Image, Microsoft Project File, and a Primavera or Sure Trak File.
